I very much like Divine Comedy, though only want to play them once in a while but then probably only them all day. Our Mutual Friend (and the album its from) is a favourite

I listened to an interview with him a while back referencing how he used to send tapes to Nyman and Walker. And how embarassingly uncool and normal he was. And I really loved him for that, and figured I should go back and give more of his stuff my proper full attention. I love Our Mutual Friend too: it's lyrically so good, and that grandiosity once again!

I've been playing a lot of Scott Walker lately and I love their crossover and their theatricality (which I often really don't want when someone else!)

100% echo that double-standard! Walker, Brel and Hannon occasionally, but no-one else, OK?!

It’s obviously something in the air as I’ve been thinking many similar things of late. Lots of love to you Matt. You truly are one of the kindest souls I know. I feel it in my bones xx

So lovely to see these words in your space, dear Matt. And, my word, they are timeless ... as fresh today as they were when you kindly wrote them for that little 'encouragement project' we were embarking upon. Looking forward to diving deeper into the links to others. So good to read you here in this space. There'll be some lucky folk booking in for the mentoring. Bx

Couldn't believe it was all that time ago when I checked! It sounds like there might be more words from others filling your own space soon. Enjoy the links. x

Excited to see new words emerging from other voices. Encouraging, I’d go as far as to say.
