as a mother, this rings. my daughter told me two days ago that she found a couple of photos of me when I was about her age now, 19. one is on a horse and one is holding a hedgehog. she said that she shed a few tears realising that I was that other person once. like her, with dreams and a lot of lovely things to do and a very different life. and she told me that she suddenly knew that she loved me. and I shed some tears about that.
