So much emotion from fallen blossom, I love it. I had a similar full and painful heart yesterday when a cup of sun-warmed Robinson’s blackcurrant squash took me back xxx
"delicate wind and mizzle of rain...time and squall of weather further will wither and bite...a shower of the most beautiful pink: blossom, shimmering, holding on, twirling, drifting, pushed into the colour of others, receding, disappearing.." This is such delicious language Matt, and the juxtaposition of the changing nature of trees and the changing nature of a beloved child is magic. Thank you. Your fragments have as much art and depth as any novel I have ever read.
You're so very kind, thank you Sharron. I'm hoping I can be a good reader again very soon and return that kindness: I have been away from here for too long.
Man! I understand. I only subscribe to 19 writers, but, their stories just keep piling up in my inbox. It is hard to keep up, and I hate to delete any of them as they are so good. I have to admit, I read the shortest ones first -- you pack so much into your short fragments - exquisite use of our language and meaningful substance.
I was irresistibly drawn into that soft, sensitive world, so lavishly word painted, that I turned, looked over my shoulder to see out of the window and share this beauty but it was all gone.

Ouch, that will reach the inner chambers for sure! Lovely.
So beautiful
Thank you.
Beautiful words, as ever Matt. And happiest of birthdays to Tilly!
Thank you, and thank you, JoJo. x

It sounds like we are a week or a gust of wind behind you on this side of the Channel. Thanks for reading. I hope you're well.
Pure poetry. Happy birthday to your daughter! 🥳
Thank you so much, Valentina. It was a lovely day with Tilly. x
